Quizzes are part of the course learning process. Quizzes are there to help students understand course content as they pursue their studies. If the student sees that he or she has not “passed” a particular quiz, the student can re-enter the course and go back over course material until each quiz can be successfully completed.
Tests are developed and offered to students to show mastery of subjects studied. Most tests will be of the “essay” type; that is, the student is asked to develop a comprehensive paper concerning course content. The student’s work is reviewed by the Academy Central tutoring staff and an appropriate course grade is provided. The student must pass each course test with a grade of 72% or higher. Any test grade below 72% is a failing grade and the student can choose whether or not to have that failure remain on his or her record or to ask to repeat the course.
Quizzes are provided right along with course learning materials. Tests are provided through the student’s tutor and only to students enrolled toward the high school diploma.
If a student has any question concerning either quizzes or tests, send an E-mail to his or her tutor.
