General Science : (1 credit) The student is provided with an explanation of scientific principles and methods, and various parts of biological and physical sciences are examined. This course is a pre-requisite to the study of biology, physics, and chemistry. [R]
Biology : (1 credit) Included in this course are sections covering plant and animal biology, cellular structure and function, anatomy, and a brief introduction to clinical biology and diagnosis.
Physics : (1 credit) The study of physics includes learning about physical forces (motion, gravity, etc.), electrical forces, and molecular forces and attractions.
Chemistry : (1 credit) Some of the things covered in the chemistry course are “general chemistry,” biochemistry,, and the history of chemistry.
Earth Science : (1/2 credit) Here one learns about the earth’s geology, ecosystems, weather, oceans, and climate zones.
Astronomy : (1/2 credit) This is a course designed to introduce the student to the work of the astronomer-scientist and to develop in the student a appreciation for the wonders of the universe.
